Une marina nichée dans la rade de Southampton

Bien abrité par la rade de Southampton, et au coeur même de la ville, se trouve Ocean Village, bien plus qu’un simple port de plaisance. Entouré de magasins, restaurants, cinémas et bars, il offre des installations de loisir exceptionnelles. Le port est surplombé par le RSYC qui, bien qu’il s’agisse d’un club de yachting réservé à ses membres, réserve aux titulaires de poste d’accostage et aux visiteurs un accueil chaleureux. Le bassin, autrefois utilisé pour des unités de la marine marchande, est suffisamment profond pour recevoir des grands voiliers et yachts de grande taille. C’est également un point de départ et d’arrivée de célèbres courses transocéaniques.

A marina nested in the natural harbour of Southampton

Situated in the shelter of Southampton Water, and right in the heart of the city itself, Ocean Village is much more than a marina. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars, it offers outstanding recreational facilities. Overlooking the marina is the RSYC which, although a members yacht club, offers berth holders and visitors a warm and friendly welcome. The basin, formerly used for commercial ships, is deep enough to offer mooring facilities for tall ships and large yachts. It has also become famous for hosting the start and / or finish of around the world yacht races.
